Roy Hitchings sends a photo of a gathering of '69s in his home town of Camden, Maine, with this comment:
The photo was last summer and the 69ers are from left to right: Peter Imber, Clark Doran, Roy Hitchings, George Cook and Allen Petersen. Allen was visiting but the other 4 have homes here in this beautiful part of the world. Roy
Homecoming Weekend: October 6-7, 2017
Planning is in the early stages, but:
Seven of your Class officers attended the September 15th-16th Class Officers Weekend in Hanover. In addition to the usual college-centric events, COW provides an opportunity to meet with our officer counterparts from other classes, discuss issues and share ideas. We also had an excellent lunch session for the seven of use, where we talked about plans for Homecoming, The Book, Reunion50, and our Class gift.
Thanks to our own Allen Denison, there was a hugely successful gathering of '69s and friends in the Porland, Oregon region this summer.
We periodically receive photos from classmates from various activities, sometimes related to class events but often not. They usually do not come with much explanation. We have struggled with what to do with these, and have decided to create a gallery of miscellaneous photos from classmates. Here.
Vincent Evans Starzinger, a Dartmouth College government professor who shaped the careers of over a generation of graduates by inviting them to think critically, died on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Wheelock Terrace, Hanover, NH. He was age 88.
Nicknamed “The Zinger” by students and colleagues, Starzinger retired in 1994, after 34 years at Dartmouth, but his influence extended far beyond that time.
As always, Sandy Alderson really knows how to throw a party. After a brief rain delay, the game got underway although the party had already started in the two luxury suites Sandy provided.
Food and beverage in abundance as well as conversation and laughter. The Mets lost but it was close.
