Connor, Timothy (1/30/2026)

Tim died on the morning of January 30th, 2026, after living with both frontotemporal
dementia and cancer for many years. He was surrounded and supported by the love of
family and friends until the end. Tim is predeceased by his parents, Lou and Ted Connor
and dear younger brother, Teddy Connor. Tim leaves behind his wife Lucy Winner; his
daughter, Kyla Winner-Connor and her husband Stephen Shortall; brothers and sisters,
Anne Senni, Mary Connor, Pat Rogers and husband Jim Rogers, Tony Connor and wife Paula

Tidbit from classmate Gary Niess

A good friend of mine found this in a pile of stamps from the attic of his wife’s parents.  He asked if I knew of this case, poor fellow.  I went through the whole story starting with Eleazor, ‘500 gallons of rum’, the NH legislature’s attempted takeover, complicity of John Wheelock and of course Daniel Webster’s role.  Moved on to the 5-1 Supreme Court decision from the Marshall court and its significance long term for contract litigation.

Gilliatt, David Rees (10/17/2025)

David Rees Gilliatt '69 left us on October 17, 2025, at his home in Croton-on-Hudson NY, attended by his wife of 49 years, Karen, and daughter Olivia '08.  Dave left campus at the end of freshman year to serve with the 1st Cavalry in Vietnam.  On his return in September 1968, he threw himself into his music and studies, followed by law school and legal practice. Whatever he pursued, he did so avidly, and over time became an expert Alpine and X-country skier, sailor, windsurfer, archer, and marksman, as well as a cigar aficionado.

Arthur Fergenson reports that Rabbi Arnold (Arnie) Resnicoff, a member of the Class of 1968 who graduated with us in 1969 and has participated with us in multiple in-person and virtual events, will be one of the 48 inaugural recipients of the new Vietnam Veterans Memorial “service beyond service” award, to be celebrated at this year’s Vietnam Veterans Day ceremony, 1:00 pm ET March 29, at the Wall. It will be live-streamed on their Facebook page.

Casual Conversation March 15 with Sandy Alderson

Classmate Sandy Alderson will join us for his second (!) Casual Conversation on Zoom on Sunday, March 15 at 3 pm Eastern Time.  The first time he spoke with us about baseball, 48 people were on the video call.  This time the subject is baseball again, but with one caveat: “Everything baseball but NOT the Yankees.”   For this session, that team is a seven letter word which should be treated as the FCC once upon a time viewed “b-----d.’
