Robert “Roby” A. Cann, age 78, of Wakefield, passed away on Tuesday, December 2. He lived a life defined by integrity, devotion, and a deep love for family and friends.
HOFFMASTER, Charles Barry (78) passed away October 26th, 2025 in Montreal. Barry was born May 17th, 1947 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania to Pauline C. Hoffmaster and J. Charles Hoffmaster. He is survived by his wife Sylvie, his son Nicolas, his daughter Samantha (Luis), his grand-children Darien and Leandro, his brother Ronald (Nancy), his nieces Erica (Ruben) and Amy (Josh), and many cousins.
David Rees Gilliatt '69 left us on October 17, 2025, at his home in Croton-on-Hudson NY, attended by his wife of 49 years, Karen, and daughter Olivia '08. Dave left campus at the end of freshman year to serve with the 1st Cavalry in Vietnam. On his return in September 1968, he threw himself into his music and studies, followed by law school and legal practice. Whatever he pursued, he did so avidly, and over time became an expert Alpine and X-country skier, sailor, windsurfer, archer, and marksman, as well as a cigar aficionado.
Michael Joseph Brune, 77, formerly of Coolidge, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Sept. 8, 2025.

Throughout his life, he had an uncanny ability to graciously navigate different cultures and other's life circumstance. He met people where they were at and honored their worth and dignity. His belief in the actualization of human potential was, for him, imperative.
Thomas Dwight Sloan III, 77, of Huntsville passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025. Dwight was born in Manhattan, NY and moved to Huntsville with his family following high school.
He met Susan Pullen while attending Dartmouth College. He graduated in 1969, and they married the same year. Dwight was stationed in Viet Nam while serving in the US Army from 1969-1972. When he returned from active duty, he attended law school at the University of Alabama, where he finished third in his class.
