Update on ’69 Homecoming: Saturday Night Dinner at DOC House

On Saturday night of this year’s Homecoming, there will be a ’69 Class Dinner at the DOC House, following the cocktail hour and dedication ceremonies for the DOC House renovation project that has been inspired, funded, and shepherded by our class.

PLEASE NOTE:   Seating inside the DOC House is limited.

Given Hanover’s unpredictable October weather, we easily could get cold and/or rain. Because of COVID there are no rental tents available to shelter overflow, which limits the number of folks whom we can accommodate at the dinner.

Additional, Pond-Level Saturday Dinner Seating Still Available:

At this point, there still are some Pond-Level dinner tickets available. If you are interested in signing up for the dinner, contact Norman Jacobs right away to reserve your spot, and then promptly send him your check for $75 per person.  If your paid reservation request reaches Norman after we have reached capacity, you will be placed on the waiting list, with priority in the order that payment was received.  Classmates on the waiting list who cannot be accommodated at the class dinner will received full refunds and will be welcome to attend the cocktail reception and dedication prior to the dinner.

Payments and Cancellations:

There are several classmates who have signed up for the Saturday night dinner, but whose payments have not yet reached Norman. If you are one of those folks, please do either of the following right away: (1) send your check to Norman at the address above; or (2) let Norman know that you will not be at this event (so your seat can be made available to someone else).  Because of high demand and capacity limitations, only paid reservations can be honored.

Cancellations are permitted up to a week before the event. However, if at some point you find that you will not be able to attend, please let Norman know that right away, to free up your dinner seats for use by a classmate on the waiting list.

Vaccination:

Classmates should be fully vaccinated in order to participate in any in-person class activity and should assume that there will be other limitations, precautions, and COVID-related attendance requirements. The details will depend on the status of COVID at the time of Homecoming.
