As of this weekend, we are launching our Memories of Departed Classmates project.
We have two formal ways to keep classmate memories alive: a reading of their names at the Memorial Service during every Reunion and the In Memoriam section on our website, where they are listed both alphabetically and chronologically, with photos from the Green Book and Aegis and an obituary if one is available. The Executive Committee has initiated a project to collect and share memories of our departed classmates. The goal is to create a less formal digital archive of short, meaningful vignettes that personalize and humanize our departed classmates and reflect the enduring impact the classmates had on us. Humorous anecdotes are welcome. Please browse through the In Memoriam section on our website and consider submitting 1-2 paragraphs (150 words or less) about any classmate who holds a special place in your memory from our years together in Hanover, or in the years since. Please send your submissions to memories@dartmouth69.org .
Respectfully submitted,
Peter Elias, Class Web’ster
