Arthur Fergenson reports that Rabbi Arnold (Arnie) Resnicoff, a member of the Class of 1968 who graduated with us in 1969 and has participated with us in multiple in-person and virtual events, will be one of the 48 inaugural recipients of the new Vietnam Veterans Memorial “service beyond service” award, to be celebrated at this year’s Vietnam Veterans Day ceremony, 1:00 pm ET March 29, at the Wall. It will be live-streamed on their Facebook page.
Arnie served in the brown water navy in Vietnam and then became a rabbi and served as a Navy Chaplain for 25 years. He was on the ground at the bombing of the Marine Barracks in Beirut. He was one (of three) of the first chaplains honored at the Marine Retreat in DC.
“The Service Beyond Service Award recognizes the post-military efforts of outstanding living Vietnam veterans who contribute to their communities.”
