Call for Outstanding Service Award Nominations

In the past, the Class of ’69 Honorees Committee (currently consisting of Greg Lau, Rick Willets, Peter Elias  and Jim Staros ex officio) invited and received a number of recommendations from various members of our Class for the Committee to consider recognizing with the Class of 1969 Outstanding Service Award. Our inaugural awards recognized Rick Willets and David Prentice (posthumously) at our 75th birthday celebration last June and Norman Jacobs and Peter Elias were honored at our October Homecoming last year.

Casual Conversation with Margaret Talbot on April 30 at 3 pm ET

On Sunday, April 30 at 3 pm Eastern longtime New Yorker staff writer Margaret Talbot will be our guest for a casual conversation that you will not want to miss.  Why?  Because she will be speaking of the history of performing arts in 20th century America through the lens of her father’s life and career.   And she is chronicling the life of a parent.  How will we be seen by those who come after us, how will be judged?  And how will we judge ourselves?

Thomas E. McWhorter, 75, peacefully passed away on Monday March 27, 2023. He was happily married to his loving wife Ellen (Pressmann) McWhorter for 46 years. Born in Montgomery, AL., Thomas was a son of the late George E. and Margaret (Price) McWhorter. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Alabama and later graduated from Dartmouth College with a Bachelor of Science in engineering. Tom also received his master's degree in engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and his MBA from Lehigh University.
