ComingHome Weekend - October 6-8, 2023

Based on a survey of our class, we have decided to hold our own fall weekend (which we have named “ComingHome”) on the first weekend in October that includes a home football game. We look forward to beautiful, New England fall foliage, warmer weather, and that special fellowship of our classmates.
Please note: Our ComingHome weekend will not coincide with the College’s own Homecoming celebration. This year, we have added two Friday afternoon events and a Sunday morning event (see below), and we’d love to have you all participate. (And please see the separate flyer if you want to make your own arrangements for an informal, pre-ComingHome stay at Moosilauke.)
Mark your calendar – book your hotel room – and plan to join us in Hanover for ComingHome on October 6-8, 2023. The following schedule of events is tentative—subject to change—and as we get closer to the fall, we will provide information about how to sign up for the Friday and Saturday evening dinners.

Friday, October 6, 2023:
2:00pm – Tour of the new West End of Campus (including the new Computer Center).
3:00pm – Seminar or open forum discussion on an as-yet-to-be-determined, upbeat topic.
7:00pm – Casual buffet dinner to be held in the Hinman Forum at Rockefeller Hall (adjacent to Silsby Hall). The dinner cost $55 per person. Wine, beer, soft drinks, entrée, and desserts will be included. Dinner reservations with prepayment are required.
9:00pm – Informal gathering at Hinman Forum. Beer, wine, soft drinks, and light snacks will be provided.
Saturday, October 7, 2023:
9:30am – Class meeting (location tba—most likely Wilson Hall, which is the old College Museum, between New Hamp and The Hop).
11:30am – Tailgating lunch on Heorot lawn
1:30pm – Football vs. Yale. Buy your own tickets in advance, directly from Dartmouth Athletics (athletics.sales@dartmouth.edu; Tel. 603-646-2466). You can request the ’69 section when you order. Here is a link using a Class of '69 promo code to order tickets to the game.
5:30pm – Reception at the DOC House: Beer, wine, soft drinks and hors d ’oeuvres
7:00pm – Class Dinner at the DOC House. The dinner cost $85 per person. Reservations with prepayment are required. Please select 1 of the following entrées per person:
- Beef tenderloin served with Chimichurri & Horseradish Sauce.
- Crab Cakes with Lundburg Rice Medley with fresh herbs.
- Chicken Mandolay Stewed with Curry & Apricots.
- Butternut Squash Lasagna.
Sunday, October 8, 2023:
9:00am – Pine Park Perambulation – A group walk starting at the DOC House, going along the Pine Park Perambulation, continuing around Occom Pond, and concluding at the DOC House. A total of 3+ miles. The trail is wheelchair accessible.
Registration: There are 2 ways to register (but PLEASE do so):
