The 1969<->2019 Class Connections Program carries on a unique and special Dartmouth tradition pairing classes that are fifty years apart.  Each incoming Freshman Class is connected to the alumni class that will celebrate its 50th Reunion on the same weekend that the undergraduate class has its graduation. The primary goals are to promote inter-class, inter-generational friendships and to strengthen the Dartmouth community through a series of shared events hosted by the alumni class. An added benefit of Connections activities are that the provide opportunities for '69s to get together with old friends, reconnect to classmates they haven't seen, and to form new friendships with classmates whom they didn't know when they were on campus.

The Class of '69 is very active in this program. We kicked it off during the summer of 2015 when we hosted the '19s at the Dartmouth Grant, preparing and serving them barbeque dinners during their first year DOC trips. As you may have seen in The '69Times, we welcomed the '19s again at Matriculation and Homecoming, and then hosted a well-received 1019-1969 Trivia Night in April 2016.

As the '19s start their sophomore year, we are entering the next phase of Connections. With input from the Class of 2019 Council, we have developed a three year plan for shared social events and evening panel discussions with the '19s about various career and life paths. Many '19s have enjoyed our joint Connections activities during their first year, and they look forward to continued interactions with our '69 classmates during their time on campus.  We hope you will join your '69 classmates and the wonderful and interesting '19s for our future events.
