William H. Kinschner passed away suddenly on March 26, 2014 at the home of a friend in Timisoara, Romania. Bill’s wife of 45 years, Bonnie, predeceased him earlier that year after a brief battle with bile duct cancer.

Following his undergraduate experience at Dartmouth Bill attended both Tuck and Thayer, achieving degrees from each in 1971. He joined Owens-Illinois in their glass bottling division and later moved to their long-term healthcare division where he stayed until his retirement in 2006. While at Dartmouth Bill was a member of Kappa Kappa Kappa and as an alumnus he held many officer positions in regional clubs and was an admissions volunteer and interviewer.

Bill was very active in his community serving as president of Habit for Humanity of Maumee Valley and president of National Alliance on Mental Illness for Western Carolina. He was also committed to the mission of Misso Link International, a USA-Romania faith based partnership promoting service to needy Romanians.

Bill is survived by daughters JoAnne Calvis of Alpharetta, GA and Janet Grove of Mount Dora, FL, two grandchildren and his brother Ed of Columbus, Ohio.
