Unfortunately, we have been unable to find a formal published obituary for Guyon, or Chip, as he was known to us.
The following information has been collected and contributed by classmates:
Chip received his undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College in 1969 and a Master of Arts from Columbia University in 1971.
During his career as a communicatiions and public relations executive, he was director public relations for The Dun & Bradstreet Corporation, New York City, 1973-1977, 79-82; assistant director public relations, Olin Corporation, Stamford, Connecticut, 1977-1978; vice president corporation communications, Washington Post Company from 1983 to 2007. In 2007 he left the Washington Post to work for a privately held business services company, Bellor Knight.
He was married to Linda Elkins Kirch and had a son, Guyon Hartwell Knight IV, and a daughter, Julia Elkins.
